The Cathaoirleach of Mayo County Council is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting of the Council, which is usually held in July.
The current Cathaoirleach of Mayo County Council (2020 – 2021) is Councillor Richard Finn.
Councillor Christy Hyland is the current Leas-Cathaoirleach of the Council.
