The Parks Section is responsible for the management, delivery and maintenance of Parks and Playgrounds, and associated Public Amenity Spaces. 

In recent times this section has initiated and driven a county wide campaign to tackle the invasive species of Japanese Knotweed. 

The Parks Section also play an important role in liaising with local voluntary communities such as Tidy Towns in relation to local environmental works and ‘Neighbourwood’ Schemes, it also oversees the maintenance and management of Turlough Park Gardens. 

The Parks Section consists of an Executive Parks Superintendent and associated staff.
