EXEL-Clár Ealaíon don Óige
EXCEL is Mayo County Council's Youth Arts programme, which provides an opportunity for young people to explore their creativity, gain skills in various art forms and encounter practicing artists.
During the annual EXCEL programme, the Arts service works directly with several groups, including Mayo Youth Orchestra and Mayo Youth Theatre among others, providing specialist workshops and masterclasses to support their work. The programme offers challenging opportunities and fun in equal measure.
EXCEL programme usually runs in November, what form it will take and timing varies every year. There isn’t an open call process, instead Mayo Arts Service collaborates with various Arts Venues partners to provide a wide range of arts activities in the County.
This programme is strategically funded by Mayo County Council in Partnership with the Arts Council.
