WHAT IS THE DRAFT REGISTER?

It is important that we regularly review the Register of Electors for accuracy.

We do this by publishing a Draft Register at the beginning of November the year before the publication of the Register of Electors. This can be consulted from 1st November at our offices and at libraries, post offices, Garda stations, and other public offices.

Please check this to ensure that your details are properly recorded. You should be aware that the address at which you are registered will be the address you resided at on 1st September preceding publication and that you can register at one address only.

Claims for addition to or deletion of names from the Draft Register or for a change of address can be made between 1st November and 25th November annually. Your claim will be ruled on by the County Registrar, and you will be notified of the outcome. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of your claim, this can be appealed to the Circuit Court.
