Introducing the President of the Mayo Society of New York Noreen Lydon O’Donoghue - Born in Cappanacreha Tourmakeady Her family moved to County Meath in March 1963. Noreen immigrated to NY in November 1963 at age 16 to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a beautician and furthering her education. Noreen always was an Entrepreneur and over her career owned and operated great Despite her busy schedule she always found time to volunteer in Community Activities, from Soup Kitchens to Immigration issues. She Co-Founded the Irish Immigration Reform Movement (Woodlawn Chapter) IIRM along with other local business people in The Woodlawn Community in 1987. And Later co-founded the Emerald Isle Immigration Centers with offices in Woodside Queens and Woodlawn Bronx
