Mayo County Council’s bottle bank network is available for household recycling of glass bottles, jars and aluminium cans throughout the Christmas period. Customers are reminded that with the extra pressure on the bottle banks over the festive period that some sites may be full and customers are asked if the bottle banks in your community are full to wait a few days to recycle or use an alternative site.  

Christmas opening hours for Mayo County Council’s Civic Amenity Centres are available on https://www.mayo.ie/environment/waste-management/civic-amenity-sites 

The centres will close at 4.30pm on Wednesday December 23rd and reopen on Monday January 4th   for normal opening hours.
