Residential Parking
Residents living in the town of Castlebar may be eligible for a residential parking permit which allows them to park outside their residence or in an allocated car park in the town centre.
- Fee €10.00 per annum
- No Fee Applies for Over 65s

Rate Payers Parking Permit
Businesses who have their rates account in order may be eligible for a complimentary Rate Payers Parking Permit for one of the town centre car parks:
- Castle Street/Market Square
- Pavilion Road/Spencer Street

Long-Stay Parking Permits
Long-stay parking permits are available from the Accounts Department of Mayo County Council for the following car parks:
- Castle Street/Market Square- €27.00 per month
- Pavilion Road/Spencer Street- €10.00 per month
A 10% discount applies when purchased for 6 months and a 20% discount applies when purchased for 12 months.

You can also pay your parking fine at any Mayo County Council Office during normal business hours or by sending a cheque or postal order, for the correct fine amount, to Mayo County Council, Áras an Chontae, The Mall, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, F23 WF90 or by phoning 094 9064000.
After 28 days the fine increases by 50% e.g. a €40 fine becomes a €60 fine after 28 days if not paid in full.
