Waste Collection
Waste Collection For Householders
There are two options for managing your waste correctly in Mayo.
- Have a contract in place with an authorised door-to-door waste collector also known as a kerbside collection or
- Use a Civic Amenity Centre
Door-to-door (kerbside) waste collection:
All waste collectors operating a kerbside collection service in your area will provide a two-bin system for recyclable and residual waste.
If you live in an area with a population of 500 or over, you will also be provided with a brown bin for food waste. In these areas food waste must not be placed in residual waste bins.
