Project Description 

The nature of this development consists of a proposed bridge over the existing N17 with a roundabout on either side, left turning movements to and from the existing N17 only and approximately 1.2km of newly constructed link, junction and local road. There will also be associated earthworks, drainage, landscaping, diversions of existing services and ancillary works. 

Current Project Phase 

The project is currently at Phase 4 (Statutory Process) of the TII Project Management Guidelines.  

Compulsory Purchase Order made by Mayo County Council

In June 2020 Mayo County Council (“the Council”) made a Compulsory Purchase Order (“the Order”) in relation to the N17 / R320 Lisduff Junction Upgrade road project.

Compulsory Purchase Order confirmed without modification, by Mayo County Council

On 6th July 2020, the Council submitted the Compulsory Purchase Order to An Bord Pleanála (“the Board”) with a formal application for confirmation.

By letter dated 5th October 2020 the Board informed the Council that the submissions / objections received by the Board to the Compulsory Purchase Order had been withdrawn and that it was now open to the Council to confirm / refuse to confirm the Order.

Accordingly, Mayo County Council have on the 16th October 2020 made a confirmation order confirming the Compulsory Purchase Order without modification, for the N17 / R320 Lisduff Junction Upgrade road project.

In accordance with the relevant legislation the Council will publish notice of the confirmation of the Compulsory Purchase Order without modification, for the N17 / R320 Lisduff Junction Upgrade road project in The Connaught Telegraph edition of 10th November 2020.
