Ballina is twinned with Pittsfield since 1998 under the former Ballina Town Council. The relationship between the two towns has blossomed since with representatives from Ballina visiting Pittsfield and vice versa throughout that time.

Ballina is twinned with Pittsfield since 1998 under the former Ballina Town Council. The relationship between the two towns has blossomed since with representatives from Ballina visiting Pittsfield and vice versa throughout that time. Great friendships have been formed over the twenty plus year period. Several exchanges such as cultural (music & dance), educational and sport have taken place over the years and we hope to grow on this going into the future. There are many benefits of twinning in terms of sporting exchanges, cultural, commercial, and cuisines and we hope to build and develop those going forward with Pittsfield.
