St Patricks day Message from Höchstadt Germany
Castlebar twinned with Höchstadt in Germany in 2000. Annual cultural exchanges over the years have resulted in a deep and genuine friendship between the two towns. Although Covid- 19 restrictions prevented a planned celebration of the 20th anniversary of the twinning in September 2020, both towns pooled their creative and technological resources to stage a successful virtual celebration, held simultaneously in Mayo and Germany.
