Home to Mayo is part of the Global Irish Festival Series which is a joint initiative between Fáilte Ireland and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to provide funding and support, through relevant local authorities, for events that tap into international diaspora networks to help attract overseas visitors.

Mayo people are a proud people – proud of their origins, loyal to home and never lose their sense of place. A global hub for the 3.5 million people worldwide with the green and red of Mayo in their veins, we want to tell the story of Mayo and its diaspora.
